The Twelve Signals
Six on-page signals, all under your control: structured data, content structure, entity clarity, credibility signals, technical AEO, and AI discoverability.
Six off-page signals, which have to be earned: inbound links, domain establishment, entity recognition, press and news coverage, community discussion, and directory presence.
The two halves fail differently. An on-page problem is a build task and the score moves within days. An off-page problem is a business development task and it is slower.
